Bio

Kim Artiaga has been an Assistant Softball Coach since 2012. She is responsible for tracking the team’s academic success.  In 2019, the team won the “Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Team” Award for Best Team GPA of All 2 Year Colleges in the Nation – with a Team GPA of 3.76.  That season there were also 7 individual players awarded for the “All-America Scholar Athletes Awards.”  In her time at COS, she has coached 5 NFCA All-Americans and has helped 8 players transfer and continue to play at all collegiate levels.  She’s has been part of back-to-back CVC Championship teams in the 2018-2019 seasons.  Artiaga was also named Co-Coach of the year in the 2018-2019 seasons.  In 2019, she was named Associate Head Coach for softball program. She has also been the Mentor Program Coordinator for COS Athletic Department since 2014.  

In the 2006-2007 seasons, she competed in softball at College of the Sequoias.  She was part of the team that won the Central Valley Conference Title in the 2007 season.  Kim transferred to BYU – Hawaii and was named two-time “Athlete of the Week” in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) her Junior season, and named to the “All-Academic Team” her Senior year.  After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from BYU – Hawaii, she was a Graduate Assistant Coach at William Woods University.  In 2011, the team won the American Midwest Conference Championship and went to the NAIA National Tournament and were ranked #17 in the nation.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration and Activities.
