There was a common theme for COS in their three game sweep of Marin.
The Giants would score, and let the Mariners lead for a couple of innings, before ultimately coming back to win the game.
Game 1:
Thursday, saw Sequoias come back from three runs, to win 6-5.
COS led 2-0 until the top of the fifth, when Mariners' catcher Jakob Davidson doubled to clear the bases.
With Marin up 5-2, the Giants cut the deficit to one in the bottom of the sixth. In the bottom of the eighth, Tyler Morgan's fielder's choice ground ball, allowed Gabe Corona to score.
Dakota Stilson broke the 5-5 tie with his RBI single, scoring Oscar Reyes.
Sagun Gainey shut the door, pitching a clean ninth inning for his third save of the season.
Troy Stainbrook was credited for his first win of the season.
Game 2:
Rain forced Friday's game to be shifted over to Saturday, for a matinee doubleheader.
Game two of the series was an early first pitch, at 10:30 a.m., but Corona wasn't affected. He blasted a homerun in the bottom of the first to give COS a 1-0 lead.
After COS first baseman Reyes' RBI single in the third, Marin plated two in the fourth to tie the game up at 2-2.
The Mariners took a 3-2 lead in the top of the fifth with Davidson's fielder's choice grounder, scored Marcus Chiu.
COS came charging back in the seventh to tie the game with an Emilio Navarro suicide squeeze bunt, scoring Rudy Vasquez.
The Giants would get the go-ahead run in the eight on an error, plating Austin Anquiano.
Art Joven got the win, pitching 2 and ⅔ innings. Diego Morales got his first save of 2017.
Game 3:
In the final game Sequoias needed some late inning insurance to hold on to a 4-2 victory.
It was a pitching duel between Gainey and Marin's Crit Rudkin. Both allowed just three combined runs in six innings.
Corna broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh, with his double scoring Wyatt Tilley.
Navarro would add to the Giants' lead, doubling home Zac Hernandez.
Stainbrook earned his second win of the season, while Alex Garcia registered his first save.
