Quincy, Calif - A four run fourth inning helped Feather River defeat COS 6-1 in game one of the best-of-three NorCal Regional series in Quincy.
Brandon Vial pitched a complete game for the Golden Eagles, striking out five Giants.
COS pitcher Art Joven was tagged for four runs in 3 ⅔ innings.
Joe Bath and Jake Thomas each had two RBI for Feather River after Joven was pulled.
The Giants lone run came on an error allowing Lucas Underhill to score from third base, following Zac Hernandez's single in the top of the ninth inning.
Game two is Saturday at 11 a.m., and if necessary, game three is at 3 p.m.
