COS Opens With Conference Win Over Columbia

COS opened conference play with a convincing win over conference foe Columbia College on Saturday night 89-72. COS received two stellar performances from Dida Pereira and Derek Check. Pereira tallied 32 points and 18 rebounds on the night while Check produced 22 points and 10 assists. COS led from start to finish while shooting 57.4% from the floor.

"Dida and Derek had great games. The rest of the team knew they had the hot hand and fed them the ball. Although those two had big stat lines, it was a total team effort" said COS head coach Rusty Smith. 

COS will now go on the road this Wednesday to play at Merced.
