Giants bounce back and defeat Cerro Coso
VISALIA - Zac Nuttall's range from the three-point line helped the College of the Sequoias men's basketball team defeat Cerro Coso 82-58.
Nuttall knocked down 4-of-5 three's and was 6-of-9 from the field for a total of 20 points off the bench.
With forward Bobby Kazar in foul trouble, Matt Boyd also stepped up from the bench. The El Diamante alum had 10 points and 5 rebounds in the win.
The Giants had a tough time guarding Cerro Coso's Sidney Lloyd. Lloyd dropped 28 points hitting 11-of-22 shots.
COS forward Kentrey Bynum bounced back from a disappointing 8 point game against Fresno and got his second double-double of the season. Bynum scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds on Saturday.
Up next for Sequoias is a home game against Columbia. The Giants lost 66-59 on the road to Columbia earlier this season. COS will look to get revenge with tip off set for 5 p.m.
