Softball Weekly Update: March 15th

The Lady Giants defeated Taft College in two games on Thursday, March 10th at Taft. The Taft Cougars rallied in the 2nd and 3rd innings of the first game to tie the Giants at 4-4. The Giants were able to push another 5 runs in the top of the 5th and 7th to clinch the win 9-4. 

The second game was completed in 5 innings with a final score of 13-1. The Giants were able to score 8 runs in the first inning that included a Grand Slam from Ashley Guzman. 

Ashley Guzman: 3-8, with 6 RBIs

Adrienne Cachu: 3-3, with 1 RBI

Jeznee Garza: 3-4, with 2 RBIs.

The Giants go on the road this week to face West Hills on Tuesday, March 15th at 2pm and Porterville in a double header at 1 & 3pm on Thursday, March 17th.
