Women's Soccer Split at Oxnard Tournament
Oxnard, Ca. - The COS women's soccer team went to the Sea Breeze tounrament hosted by Oxnard College this past weekend and came away with a split in their pair of games. "We played hard and did well considering the tough competition we played. Overall it was a great experience for the team" said COS head coach Osama Hamid.
On day one COS defeated El Camino Compton College 1-0. The lone, and winning goal, came from Lynzee Gilliand a freshmen forward from Tulare Union High. "Lynzee has played well for us to start the season. She has upside and a bright future here" said Coach Hamid.
On Sunday, COS dropped a tough match to host Oxnard College 2-1. Freshmen Briana Hoble score for COS in the loss. COS came out of the tournament with an overall record of 2-2 and will host Merritt College on Thursday at 4pm at Riverway Park in Visalia.
