TAFT - Women's Soccer dropped their second straight match, after they were defeated 5-1 by Taft.
COS (2-7-1, 0-2 CVC) scored first to take a 1-0 lead, but that was all the Lady Giants would do. Taft (4-7-2, 2-1 CVC) scored three goals in the first half. Lady Cougars midfielder Nancy Reynaga scored twice under 25 minutes, and defender Lee Graham scored in the 40th minute.
With a 3-1 lead, Taft added insurance in the second half with the help of Elena Marquez. She scored twice in both the 55th minute, and the 70th minute.
Sequoias will host Fresno City on Friday at 4 p.m. Fresno is currently ranked No. 11 in the Junior College Division III National Poll.
