VISALIA - Women's Soccer got shutout 6-0 at home to No. 11 nationally ranked, Fresno City.
Fresno City (11-3-1, 4-0 CVC) got on the board quickly, as Sophia Zertuche scored in the 2nd minute of the game. The Rams would add two more in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into halftime. Leila Monzon scored in the 22nd minute and Gabriela Watson scored in the 45th minute.
COS (2-8-1, 0-3 CVC) could not get anything going in the second half. Fresno City scored three more goals, and once again scored in the opening two minutes of the half. Jasmine Garibay scored in the 47th minute to go ahead 4-0. In the 60th minute Kristin Thompson put the visitors up 5-0. Juliet Trembley scored Fresno City's final goal in the 79th minute to give the Rams a 6-0 victory.
The Lady Giants will travel to West Hills Lemoore on Tuesday Oct. 25. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
