COS Volleyball moves to 6-1 in Conference play
COS takes sole possession of second place in the CVC.
COS Women's Volleyball brings its winning streak up to four with a showing of pure dominance against both Porterville College and Taft last week, winning in a 3-0 sweep against both.
For the game on Tuesday, Outside hitter Mia Gilcrest (Redwood) once again led the team in Kills with 19, followed up by opposite hitter Yajaira Gahagan (Tulare Union) with 10, and Daniela Gonzalez (Delano High) with eight.
Gilcrest continues to dominate in the kills statistic throughout all of California, leading the state in 5.33 kills per set and is second in the state in total kills with 352.
On Friday, the same trio of girls led the team in kills once again, with Gilcrest at 25, Gonzalez with 12, and Gahagan with nine.
The Giants now sit at 13-6 overall and 6-1 in CVC conference play. The Giants are also ranked #13 in the state.
Their next game will be against West-Hills Coalinga, on Oct. 14 at 6:00 p.m.
