Men's soccer falls on the road
Orville, Ca. (8/29/15)
The COS men's soccer team went on the road for their 2015 season opener and fell to Butte College 1-0. The loan goal of the match came in the first half when Butte College forward David Gonzalez scored on a kick that hit off the cross bar before going into the goal. "It was a tough shot, you have to give them credit" said COS head coach Scott Rogers.
When asked how the team performed given it was the first outing of the season, Rogers responded with "we played well in spurts, we have work to do but it wasn't bad for the first match of the year."
COS received stellar play from freshmen forward Hector Robles. "Hector did a good job for us and put pressure on their defense. We had many opportunities but we just couldn't find the goal" said Rogers.
COS continues their road swing today and will be playing Shasta College today in Redding, Ca. at 11am.
