Results from the American River Invitational
Sequoias' Track and Field traveled to Sacramento to compete in the ARC Invitational on the weekend of March 25th.
The Lady Giants had five individuals place first in the meet at the state's capital.
The first came in the 200m dash where Meleni Rodney finished with a time of 24.16. Rodney then placed at the top spot in the 400m dash at 53.89.
In the 100m hurdles Deshaunda Morrison smoked the competition and finished at 13.68. Like her fellow teammate, Morrison placed first in her next event at 1:02.98
Freshman KiAnna Cunningham edged out Butte's Mykisha Abrams in the long jump with a distance of 5.75m.
On the men's side, COS had another stellar meet as they finished first in numerous events.
Drelan Bramwell narrowly beat teammate Theon Lewis by .39 for first in the 200m Dash. Kammeron Reed, Keefer Joyce and Holland Cabara finished fifth, sixth, and eighth respectively.
COS continued their dominance in the men's relay department as the 4x100m team placed first at 40.58 and the 4x400m team finished at the top spot as well with a time of 3:10.74.
Freshman Adam Gonzalez finished the lengthy 5000m run at first with a time of 15.36.18.
Long jump phenom Bryce Huggins continued his dominant performances finishing first at a distance of 7.20m.
Sequoias' will travel to the Bay Area this weekend to compete in the Stanford Invitational, San Francisco Invitational and Chabot Invitational.
