COS Volleyball Beats Porterville In Three

The Giants (now 2-1 in league) traveled to Porterville College Friday night and took the match from the Pirates in three straight sets (25-15, 25-18, 25-13). The Giants earned the victory as a team tonight, but they also had several individual standout performances. Gabi Crookshanks (Exeter) recorded 10 kills and five service aces for the night. Emily Thompson (Hanford) added four kills, three service aces, and two blocks; Reina Sykes (Golden Valley) set for the Giants and had no service errors on the night. Head coach Kim Rix was pleased with their performance and said, "The girls played consistent tonight and were focused on earning another conference victory."

The Giants will play their next league game Wednesday, October 7^th on the road at Merced College.
