Quincy Hall, an alumnus of the College of the Sequoias (COS), has successfully advanced to the semifinals of the 400 meters at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Hall, who previously won the US Team Trials and set his personal-best time of 43.80 seconds at the Diamond League meet in Monaco, continues to demonstrate his competitive edge on the international stage.

In the preliminary heats of the 400 meters, Hall recorded a time of 44.28 seconds. His performance placed him among the top qualifiers, securing his advancement to the semifinals. Hall's time was the second fastest overall in the heats behind American, Michael Norman, positioning him well for the next round of competition.

Hall's journey to the Olympics has been marked by consistent improvement and dedication. Hall competed for College of the Sequoias in 2017-18, and established himself as a standout athlete, setting multiple records and earning numerous accolades. His progression from a community college athlete to an Olympic contender highlights the effectiveness of the training and support he has received over the years. He was the 2017 3C2A State Champion in the 3 events: 4 x 400m relay, 400m, and 400m hurdles, and the 2018 3C2A State Champion in 2 events: 400m and 400m hurdles. Along with all of his individual accomplishments, Quincy Hall was part of the 2017 3C2A State Track and Field Championship team. Hall continued his stellar career at the University of South Carolina, becoming a two-time All-American and winning the 400m hurdles at the NACAC U23 Championship.
