College of the Sequoias' swimming and diving team eclipsed three school records while defeating Clovis 1,112-404 during a Bay Valley Conference dual meet on April 30.
Caleb Peltzer, a freshman out of Exeter High, set two records for the men's team, while the women's 200 free relay also broke a school mark during a meet held at the Giants' pool.
Peltzer lowered his own record in the 50 fly, touching the wall in 24.18 seconds. He set the record with a 24.75 on April 16.
Peltzer also smashed the college's 50 breast record in 28.18. The previous mark of 29.98 was set by Casey Anderson in 2019.
The women's 200 free relay of Audrey Bradford (Lindsay), Alyssa Bodoh (Porterville), Alex Salazar (Redwood) and Anna Nippoldt (Immanuel-Reedley) set the school record with a 1:45.86. The previous mark of 1:46.13 was set by Madelyn Shandrew, Madeline Pace, Emily Helpio and Andrea Ross in 2018.
Nippoldt had a 50 free split of 25.6. Salazar went 26.6, while Bodoh went 26.7 and Audrey went 26.8.
After the meet, Nippoldt was presented with an $8,000 scholarship by the COS Foundation. Nippoldt was recently accepted into UCLA, where she will continue her education by studying mathematics.
