Opening Night vs LA Valley
In their first game of the Golden Gate Classic, that was held at City College of San Francisco, the COS Women's basketball team pick up a win as they beat LA Valley 66-60.
They were led by Kyla Wandick (Bakersfield HS) and Lucia Ricci (Seattle, WA) as they both scored 15 points each. Wandick added 3 rebounds and 2 assists as well, and Ricci added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
The Giants also received contributions from Trinity Ferro (Corcoran HS), who added 12 points and 5 rebounds; Anisa Torres (Caruthers HS) had 11 points and 4 rebounds and went 2-4 from the 3-Point line; and Geizzle Jones (Bullard HS), who added 8 points and 7 rebounds.
Semifinals vs City College of San Francisco
In the semifinals of the Golden Gate Classic, COS took on state #12 ranked City College of San Francisco. The Giants took a 64-51 victory over the host college.
As they move onto the Championship game, they were led by Fresno-native Geizzle Jones with 21 points. Kyla Wandick also added 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Giants also received help from Anisa Torres as she had 9 points and 7 rebounds; Lucia Ricci added 4 points and 8 rebounds; Darleth Felix (Tulare Union HS) added 7 points and 10 rebounds.
Championship vs Butte
In the championship game of the Golden Gate Classic, COS fall short to Butte in a 46-44 loss. They are now 9-6 on the season.
They were led by Geizzle Jones, who had 15 points and 6 rebounds. The Giants also received 5 points and 5 rebounds from Kyla Wandick; 4 points and 6 assists from Anisa Torres; 4 points and 8 rebounds from Lucia Ricc; and 7 points and 5 rebounds from Trinity Ferro.

The Giants will be back in action on Thursday, January 4 at 3:00 PM when they take on Lassen College. This game will be a doubleheader as the Men's will be taking on Hartnell College at 5:00 PM
