Trimm and Vargas Sign National Letters of Intent
COS sophomores Payton Trimm (Mt. Whitney) and Valerie Vargas (Exeter) have signed their national letter of intents to continue their education and volleyball careers at the next level.
Trimm, an outside hitter and first team all Central Valley Conference player, has signed to play at CSU Monterey Bay next season. "I want to thank my family, friends, my coaches here at COS, and all of my teammates for helping me make this happen. I am excited to be an Otter next season and I am ready to get to work" said Trimm.
Vargas, a first team all Central Valley Conference setter has signed to play at Webber International University in Florida next season. "I wasn't sure I wanted to keep playing after high school but I am glad I came to COS and kept playing. I am so fortunate to continue my volleyball career and am excited. I want to thank my family and my team for the support. I couldn't be happier" said Vargas.
COS head coach Kim Rix was in attendance for the signing and stated "I couldn't be happier for these two. They worked their tails off during their time here at COS and they deserve this. They worked hard in the classroom, the court, and in the weight room. They are the models for what we want from our student-athletes."
Both Payton Trimm and Valerie Vargas were joined with their families, friends, and teammates for todays signing.
