Giants shine in CVC Meet
Both Men's and Women's win CVC

The COS track and field teams won conference championships in both the men's and women's divisions last week in the CVC meet at Sunnyside High School.
Ivy Miller (Exeter) was a triple winner, capturing the 100 and 400 meter hurdle events and the high jump. Double winners were Ejaiya Burton (Tulare Western) (200 and 400 meters), Itzell Barrios (Monache) (shot put and discus), and Justice Kahuanahana (Kealekehe) (110 and 400 meter hurdles).
Other conference champions were Derrick Jones (Taylor HS) (200 meters), Anthony Illan (Redwood) (5000 meters), Michael Williams (Golden West) (high jump), Alberto Nunez (Golden West) (javelin), Shane Bagley (Lemoore) (pole vault), Liliana Salado (Mt. Whitney) (800 meters) and Riley Beeman (Monache) (javelin).
COS also won the 4 x 100 and 4x400 relays on the women's side, and the men's 4x100.
This week Sequoias will be at the NorCal trials meet Friday at Sacramento City College.
