COS Defeats Taft on the Road
The COS women's team traveled to Taft College on Wednesday night and picked up a road win as well by defeating Taft College 84-45. The win puts COS at a half-game ahead of West Hills Lemoore and Merced College in the league standings. COS stands alone right now in second place with a record of 5-2. COS was led by sophomore Alexandria Tobie who tallied 21 points. Up next for COS this Saturday night is a chance to create some distance between themselves and third place. "We have a big game on Saturday coming up against Merced. Merced beat us in the first round of league in double overtime and there are playoff implications for this game" said COS head women's coach Ray Alvarado. "Our girls are looking forward to the challenge."
The COS women's team will tip off this Saturday at 5pm and the men will tip off at 7pm both against Merced College. Doors will open at 6pm and regular priced admission is $6.
