Former COS Student-Athlete Hannah Ramirez earns PacWest Defender of the Week Honors
Ramirez earns PacWest Defender of the Week honor
IRVINE, Calif. - Fresno Pacific junior guard Hannah Ramirez has been named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week the conference office announced on Monday. Ramirez led FPU to a 2-1 week, averaging 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.3 assists per game.
She had seven of FPU's 15 steals in the win over Notre Dame de Namur, the first in PacWest play for the Sunbirds this season. She then recorded her third double-double of the year with 12 points and 14 rebounds, and four steals, against Hawai'i Hilo.
On Saturday she had 14 points and two steals in the team's 60-59 win over Concordia, knocking down the game-winning three-pointer with four seconds left. On the season, Ramirez ranks fourth in the PacWest in steals (2.3 spg).
