Brooklyn Morris Elevated to Head Women's COS Soccer Coach
After spending three years as an assistant coach, Brooklyn Morris takes over head coaching duties.
Brooklyn Morris has been elevated to the COS Women's Soccer Head Coaching position after a successful three-year stint as an assistant coach for the Giants. Morris, a former Redwood High, and Sierra Nevada University soccer standout, brings a wealth of energy and experience to the position.
Coach Morris currently serves as a head coach for the Central Valley Premier Club Program here in Visalia. She is currently overseeing two different age groups, and serves as the head coach of both. Morris has also been serving as an assistant at Redwood High since 2020 during the high school winter sport season.
"I am thrilled for Brooklyn!" said COS Athletic Director Brent Davis. "Brooklyn has been one of the main catalyst in helping our women's soccer program become a playoff caliber team. She has many contacts in the local area for recruiting; she has a passion to help young people succeed and move on, and the players in our program respond to her and respect her abilities. Our program is in good hands."
Morris replaces Elliott Hord who is moving to the Sacramento region to pursue professional opportunities. Morris inherits a program coming off a Northern California playoff berth, the first in over a decade. "I want to continue to build off of the recent success we have had here. I want COS to be the destination for women's soccer players to play. I want all of our players to continue to get better, flourish in the classroom, and be able to continue to play at a four-year if that is what they choose they want to do. I will work for them, and can't wait to get started. "
