Gilcrest named State Player of the Week
COS' Mia Gilcrest has had a monster start to the season.
Gilcrest produced a remarkable 36 kills in a 5-set victory over Hartnell and she totaled 93 kills with 47 digs and seven aces in four Sequoias' victories. In 14 sets, she averaged as a game-changing 6.6 kills. She scored 22 kills without an error and hit .739 with 10 digs and four solo blocks in Central Valley Conference victory over Merced. Gilcrest leads the state in total kills (272), kills per set (5.33), total points (313.5) and points per set (6.1). (Stats provided by the CCCWVCA)
