COS had a hard time finding a rhythm this past week, going 1-3 on the four game road trip.
Feb 14 at Allan Hancock: The Giants struggled at the plate in the 11-1 loss to the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
COS managed five hits, and scored their one run late in the eighth inning.
Allan Hancock collected 17 hits with third baseman Josh Harmonay going 2-for-5 with 2 RBI.
Feb 18 at Cosumnes River: Sequoias struck first, scoring two runs in the first inning, but an eight run fourth inning propelled the Hawks to a 10-4 victory on Saturday.
Giants pitcher Alex Garcia pitched 3 and ⅔ innings, allowing 8 earned runs, and three home runs.
Hawks designated hitter Brian Morley had the Giants number, batting 2-for-5 with 4 RBI.
Feb 19 at Cosumnes River: Rain forced Thursday's game to be postponed, causing a doubleheader to be played on Sunday.
Game 1: COS found their form against Cosumnes River in the early start time matchup. The Giants cruised to a 5-1 victory in the morning.
Game 2: The Giants lost the rain shortened second game to the Hawks 13-0. The game was called off in the middle of the fifth inning.
Next Up
Sequoias will begin a three-game homestand on Tuesday against Cuesta. First pitch for Tuesday is set for 2 p.m. and a doubleheader is scheduled for Friday. Game one is slated for 10 a.m. and game two is scheduled for 2 p.m.
