The College of the Sequoias baseball team dropped game one of the NorCal Super Regional 6-0 to Sacramento City on Friday.
The Giants struggled against Panthers starting pitcher Polo Portela, managing three hits.
COS pitcher Alex Garcia gave up three runs in the fourth, breaking the deadlock, and giving the Panthers the 3-0 lead.
Sacramento City would not look back, and added three more runs.
With the defeat, Sequoias must win Saturday and Sunday's games to advance to the next round.
