COS Drives Past Merced, Hosts Porterville on Wednesday
The COS Giants found their groove in the second half to take down the Blue Devils of Merced 76-52. Going into halftime, the Giants were up 32-27, only shooting 38% from the field. In the second half the Giants shot 50% to out out score the Blue Devils 44-25. Once again the Giants were led by Dida Pereira with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Coach Rusty Smith had this to say about his team " in the second half we did a much better job on driving and getting the ball into the paint."
Giants received solid performances by Simon Krajovic with 9 points,9 rebounds and 6 assists along with 11 points points from Derek Check. Kyle Hurt added another 14 points going 4 of 7 from the three point line.

COS resumes CVC play February 10th against Porterville at the Porterfield House at 7pm.
COS is currently ranked #14 in the state and #7 in Northern California according to the CCCAA poll.
