Giants look to snap their losing streak Tuesday at home
The College of the Sequoias men's soccer team could not snap their losing streak this past week, bring the total to three matches without a result.
Sequoias hosted Allan Hancock on Tuesday and lost 2-1 at Riverway Sports Park.
Ulysses Cardona put the Bulldogs in front 1-0 in the 36th minute of play. Cardona then registered an assist in the 60th minute as teammate Mario Delgado found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.
COS midfielder Judeh Halim peeled a goal back in the 90th minute, but it was too late to mount a comeback.
Friday, COS could not break Antelope Valley College's backline, falling 1-0 in Lancaster.
The match was scoreless heading into the final minutes when Jose Mojica broke through and found Alfredo Salcedo for an 85th-minute goal.
The Giants look to snap their losing streak on Tuesday against Monterey Peninsula. The match will kickoff at 4 p.m. from Riverway Sports Park.
