Giants capture back-to-back wins
The College of the Sequoias men's soccer team had back-to-back non-conference victories before starting its Central Valley Conference schedule.
On Tuesday night the Giants defeated Monterey Peninsula 1-0. Jose Hernandez's goal snapped COS' three-match losing streak.
Sequoias traveled to San Jose and beat Evergreen Valley 2-0. Judeh Halim scored a stroke after the half in the 46th minute. Enrique Ibarra sealed the match for COS with his 82nd-minute goal.
The Giants host West Hills Lemoore on Tuesday at Riverway Sports Park. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
