
COS Women's Swimming Sweeps Relays at COS Invite
The COS Women's Swimming and Dive team continued their performance at the COS Aquatics Center by securing a third-place finish with 345 points in the COS Invite. They competed against the following opponents, Merced, Modesto, San Joaquin Delta, and Fresno City.
The 200 medley relay set the tone for the day, with Devon Cardoza (Tulare Western HS), Ella Satorre (Redwood HS), Bella Klattiwer (Sierra Pacific HS), and Alexandria Bower (Redwood HS) combining for a remarkable time of 2:07.65, earning them first place. In the 200 freestyle relay, the COS team touched the wall first as Gracie Rivas (El Diamante HS), Bella Klattiwer, Autmn Gibson (Lemoore HS), and Alexandria Bower finished with a time of 1:53.78.
Individual performances were equally impressive, with Satorre claiming first place in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 36.60. Bower showcased her abilities in the 100 breaststroke, clinching first place with a time of 1:15.82, while Satorre secured third place with a time of 1:20.11. In the 100 freestyle, Bower delivered a standout performance, finishing second with a time of 1:00.83. In the 100 butterfly, Klattiwer secured third place with a time of 1:10.27.
Cardoza showcased her skill in the 50 backstroke, finishing second with a time of 34.59, while Yazmyn Sanchez (Strathmore HS) delivered a solid performance in the 100 backstroke, securing second place with a time of 1:24.85.
