
COS Volleyball Stays Hot
COS Volleyball continues to move up in conference standings.
COS Volleyball Wins Two:
The Giants Women's Volleyball team had 2 matches this past week. They came into the week winning their last 6 matches and looked to continue to add to their win streak. The first one came against West Hills Coalinga on the road on Wednesday. The Giants defeated the Falcons winning 3 sets of 4 by final scores of 25-23, 25-15, 12-25, and 25-11. Cassidy Dolin (Tulare Union) led the Giants with 10.5 points and 3 blocks. Christa Pilgrim (Mission Oak) added 9 kills. Andrea Lopez scored 18.5 points for the Falcons.
The next match for the Giants came at home as they hosted Porterville on Friday. The Giants swept the Pirates by scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-9. Emily Soto (Tehachapi) led the team with 8 points. Christa Pilgrim added 6 kills.
This was the 8th straight win for the Giants as they are now 15-7 on the season. They will look to stay hot as they head on the road to face Fresno on Wednesday, October 24th at 6:00 p.m.
