The Lady Giants dominated the ten-team field that had 84 finishers by placing seven racers in the top thirteen finishers. Leading the way were Alyssa Block (Exeter HS) in 1st, Jordyn Zorn (Monache) 2nd, and Jewel Jasso (Redwood HS) 3rd in the 5 kilo race. The COS team, which is currently ranked 1st in Northern California, was strongly supported by Ariana Jasso (Redwood) in 8th, Elizabeth Sartuche (Tulare Union) 9th, Sarah Reid (Exeter) 10th, and Kelsay McClendon (El Diamante) in 13th place. The Giants scored 23 points while the second-place Hartnell finished with 72 points.
In the Men's 4-mile race COS was led by an outstanding race by Adam Gonzalez who placed 4th in the 146-man field. The next four Giants to finish raced in a tight pack and came across the finish line only 18 seconds apart. They were Rogaciano Ortiz (Tulare Western) 17th, Gary Austin (Corcoran) 30th, Rogelio Luviano (Tulare Union) 33rd, and Arturo Ochoa (Exeter) in 34th place. There were a total of 12 teams in the race and the Giants Men's team placed 4th overall.
All sixteen of the Men's team members that competed in San Francisco ran their fastest 4-mile times of the season.
Coach David Bronzan stated "I am quite pleased with how both of our teams competed. We had a very hard week of training last week and they recovered well and competed the best they have so far this season."
