Giants and Marauders battle in Porter Field House on "Youth Jersey Night" this Friday
The Giants' Mens' Basketball team will take on Antelope Valley College this Friday, December 8th at 7:00 PM.
The Antelope Valley College Marauders are 3-5 on the season and are coached by John Taylor, who has led them for the last 13 years. For the Marauders, they are led by Point Guard Xa Landry and Guard Tre Hawkins, each averaging 13.3 and 11.8 points per game, respectively.
The Giants are currently 5-2 on the season. They are led by Sophomore Jose Cuello, who averages 18.6 points per game. He is supported by Sophomore Omari Nesbit and Jaylon Lee, who averages 9.9 and 9.4 points per game, respectively. Lee and Cameron Clark also lead the team in rebounding as they average 8.0 and 8.9 rebounds a game. The Giants are currently ranked 7th in state and 4th in NorCal in the most recent Coaches' poll.
The promotion for this game is "Youth Jersey Night". All youth wearing their youth jerseys will receive free admission into the game along with their parents.
Admission to COS basketball games are $8 general admission and $5 for seniors and students.
