Giants extend win streak to seven with 75-70 win over Diablo Valley
College of the Sequoias Men's Basketball extends their win streak to seven games after a 75-70 win over Diablo Valley.
The Giants now improves to 11-2 on the season. Leading them was Jose Cuello (Harlem, NY) and Omari Nesbit (Sacramento, CA), who scored 20 and 18 points respectively. Cuello also added 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, while Nesbit added in 7 rebounds.
Cameron Clark (Gwinnett, GA) had a big game as he had a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Sequoias also received contributions from Jaden Haire (Hanford West HS), who added 12 points and 8 rebounds; Alex Argandar (Modesto, CA) added 6 points and 6 rebounds; Davis White (Santa Clarita, CA), who added 6 points; Mikey Ficher (Tulare Western HS), who added 3 points and 5 rebounds.
The Giants are set to host Hartnell College at 5 p.m. this Thursday, January 4. Women's Basketball will also host Lassen College this Thursday at 3 p.m. Admission into COS basketball games are $8 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students.
Central Valley Conference play will begin next week as the Men's will travel to Columbia College on Wednesday, January 10 and the Women's will travel to Merced on Saturday, January 13. Both teams will be back home on Wednesday, January 17th when they take on West Hills-Lemoore, Men's will play at 5 p.m. and Women's at 7 p.m.
