College of the Sequoias' guard's Solomon Taylor and Kody Wilson came off the bench scoring a combined 26 points, leading the 14th-ranked Giants to a 77-63 victory over Merced.
Taylor scored all of his points off of three-point baskets, shooting 4-for-8 beyond the arc. Wilson was 6-for-11 from the field and made two free-throws.
Sequoias bench dominated Merced's second unit, outscoring the Blue Devils 46 to 7.
With their first conference win in hand, the Giants improve their record to 11-6 overall and 1-2 in the Central Valley Conference.
COS looks to make it back-to-back wins in conference play on Saturday against Reedley with tip-off set for 5 p.m. at Porter Field House.
Reedley comes into the matchup at 1-2 in conference play as well, but 5-10 on the 2017-2018 season.
