Giants close out regular season with a win on the road

With Tuesday's 3-2 win over Merced College, the College of the Sequoias volleyball team captured the second place tiebreaker in the Central Valley Conference and earned a trip to the State Playoffs for the third year in a row.
The Giants fell in the first set 25-16 but came roaring back in the second and third. COS won 25-14 and 25-16.
Merced forced a deciding fifth set by capturing the fourth 25-19.
Sequoias shook off the highly contested fourth set and won fifth set 15-8.
COS finishes its regular season at 13-9 and 11-5 in the Central Valley Conference.
The Giants will wait to see who their opponent is in the CCCAA State Playoffs.
