RIDGECREST - Volleyball got their second straight win after defeating Cerro Coso 3-0, Wednesday night.
"We are happy to be back on track," head coach Kim Rix said. "We are determined to finish strong this year. We are happy to have another win under our belt."
COS (12-4, 9-1 CVC) struggled with the Coyotes (1-15, 1-9 CVC) earlier this season, as they had a hard time putting Cerro Coso away in the final two sets.
This time around, Sequoias stayed focus and won the first set 25-16. Cerro Coso's five errors helped the Giants capture the second set 25-17. COS kept rolling and cruised to a 25-17 final set victory. With the win, Sequoias stay in second place in the Central Valley Conference.
The Giants will host Reedley on Friday at Thomas Porter Field House. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. COS last met with Reedley on Sept. 21, and the Giants won 3-0.
