
Giants to host Clovis
COS (6-3-2, 0-1-0) will look for its first Central Valley Conference victory Oct. 18 when its hosts Clovis (3-5-2, 1-0-0).
The match kicks off at 1 p.m. from COS' campus field.
The Giants opened conference play Oct. 15 with an 8-0 loss to state No. 2-ranked Fresno City (12-0-1, 1-0-0).
COS trailed 2-0 at halftime before the Rams broke it open in the second half behind two goals and an assist from Megan Galvan and a goal and two assists from Kassie Christensen.
Goalkeeper Maria Camacho (Lindsay) made eight saves in 35 scoreless minutes for the Giants, who received seven votes in the latest California Community College Sports Information Association state rankings.
COS will host Taft (6-4-2, 1-0-0) at 1 p.m. Oct. 22.
