VISALIA, Calif. – The College of the Sequoias women's tennis team continued its dominant season with a commanding 9-0 victory over Reedley College on February 25. The Giants controlled the match from start to finish, winning all doubles and singles matches in straight sets.
Doubles Play Sets the Tone
Sequoias set the tone early, sweeping all three doubles matchups. The No. 1 duo of Ruby Zambrano (Dinuba HS) and Jaden Godoy (Dinuba HS) earned a decisive 8-1 victory. At No. 2, Sadie Avila (Hanford HS) and Hannah Salazar (Tulare Western HS) dominated with an 8-0 win.
Singles Play Seals the Win
The Giants carried their momentum into singles, winning all six matches without dropping a single set. Summer Herrera (Mt. Whitney HS) led the charge at No. 1, blanking her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Zambrano, Godoy, Avila, and Mia Orosco (Dinuba HS) followed suit with commanding straight-set wins.
