
COS Softball Sophomores Moving On
Three COS softball student-athletes will be moving on from the 2019 Central Valley Conference Championship to continue their softball careers. Jenna Reyes, a sophmore outfielder will be attending Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, California. Reyes hit .375 for her two year career with the Giants and was a stellar centerfielder.
Sophomore pitcher Ariana Guzman will be transferring to the University of Redlands in Southern California. Guzman was a two year starter at pitcher for the Giants and had a career ERA of 2.24. Guzman started 82 games over the past two seasons.
Shortstop Samantha Martinez has committed and signed to Cal State Bakersfield to continue her academic and athletic career. Martinez hit .390 over her two year career including 12 home runs and 61 RBI's. Martinez started every game at Shortstop for the Giants over the two years and provided leadership on defense.
"I am very proud of all of them and appreciate all of their hard work they put in over the past two years" said COS Head Coach Cori Janelli. "I wish them the best and look forward to watching their progress as they continue to move forward."
