Giants point toward CVC play after loss at Compton
Alfredo Trujillo had a hat trick as Compton downed visiting COS 4-0 in a non-conference match Sept. 27.
The Giants (2-4-2) received shots-on-goal from Cesar Lopez (Mt. Whitney), Cesar Melgar (Monache) and Christopher Romo (Tulare Union), but couldn't convert.
Goalkeeper Eduardo Manuel Angeles (Porterville) made four saves for COS.
Up next for the Giants is their Central Valley Conference opener, set for 4 p.m. Oct. 1 against Taft at Riverway Sports Park. COS will also host Clovis at 4 p.m. Oct. 4 on its campus field.
