Giants upset state No. 20 Modesto
COS closed its non-conference schedule with a 2-0 upset of state No. 20-ranked Modesto on Oct. 25.
The Giants (4-9-2, 1-2-0) got the only goal they would need when Daniel Duran put away a feed from Oscar Diaz.
Diaz later added an unassisted goal for COS.
Modesto (8-6-2) had outscored its opponents 36-20 on the season entering the match.
The Giants resume Central Valley Conference play at 4 p.m. Oct. 29 when they play at No. 3 Fresno City (11-0-5, 3-0-0).
COS doesn't have another home game until Nov. 15, when it hosts Fresno City at 3 p.m. on its campus field.
