Melgar scores twice in COS win
Cesar Melgar (Monache) scored twice - once unassisted and one on a feed from Jose Cardenas (Delano) - to lead COS (5-12-2, 2-5-0) to a 4-2 Central Valley Conference victory at West Hills-Lemoore (4-11-1, 1-5-0).
Christopher Romo (Tulare Union) and Alex Saldana (El Diamante) also unassisted scored first-half goals for COS.
The Giants close the season at 3 p.m. Nov. 15 against state No. 3-ranked Fresno City (12-1-6, 4-1-1) on their campus field.
