APTOS - COS volleyball's season came to an end in the first round of the NorCal Regional Playoffs, as they lost 3-1 to Cabrillo.
The Giants dropped the first set 25-19 and could not find a rhythm in the second set, losing 25-16.
At risk of being swept for the third time this season, Sequoias battled and won the third set 25-20.
Cabrillo would put away COS for good, with a close 25-21 fourth set win.
Idalis Rubalcava had 17 kills, and Brittney Roush had 14 digs in the defeat.
The Giants ended their season with an overall record of 17-7 and 13-3 in conference.
Rubalcava had a team-high 291 kills during the season. Gabi Crookshanks was just behind with 207. Emily Thompson led the team with 33 service aces, Jacey Davis had 40 blocks, Valerie Vargas had 437 assists, and Roush had 462 digs.
