Sequoias season ended with a 30-7 loss to Fresno City. The Giants record falls to 2-8 overall and 0-5 in the Valley Conference.
With the defeat, COS has lost 22 conference games in a row and 28 of its last 29, dating back to 2013. The Giants also ended their season on a seven-game losing streak.
Gus Villareal found Phillip Adams for a 13-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. The six-play, 85-yard drive was the lone scoring drive of the game for the Giants.
Rams running back Isaiah Hilliard weathered down the Giants defense, rushing for 90-yards on nine carries.
Mission Oak High School alum, Trey McJunkin threw for two touchdowns in Fresno City's win.
Both Giants threw for over 1,000 yards in 2017. Villareal threw for 1129 yards and 10 touchdowns, while Nolan LeForge tossed for 1072 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Andrew Azua led running backs with 535 yards on 145 carries, scoring two touchdowns. Adams led COS by catching nine touchdowns on 35 receptions for 876 yards.
Freshman Safety Jailyn Mays led COS with 31 tackles and four sacks. Preveon Alexander registered a team-high three interceptions.
As the Northern California Football Association reorganizes during the winter, College of the Sequoias is expected to be in another conference with different opponents for the 2018 football season.
