
Giants sweep two game set
College of the Sequoias snapped their two game losing streak and created a two game winning streak on Saturday.
The Giants bounced back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat West Valley 12-7 in game one.
Sequoias (10-6) tied up the game at 3-3 in the third inning, thanks to the help of Breanne Tabarez's home run to left field.
A couple of bases loaded singles helped COS plate five runs in the fifth. The Giants would never look back after that
Josey Burke was 2-for-3 at the plate, with 3 RBI.
Ashley Paradine pitched a complete game for her fifth win of the season. She had three strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Sequoias' bats stayed hot in game two, defeating West Valley 7-0.
In the second inning, Korina Martinez singled to right, scoring Paradine and Madison Wedel. Martinez would cross the plate and put COS up 3-0 on Madison Montemayor's triple.
Brittney Howard blasted a two-run home run in the third inning, and Ashley Guzman would take care of the rest.
Guzman struck out six in the seven inning complete game.
The Giants will travel to rival Fresno City on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
