After scoring three runs in the first inning, Sequoias could not push across any more in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to Merced.
The Giants end the regular season with a 15-6 conference record and 25-13 overall.

Many Giants also received recognition for their play on the field. In total, seven players from the COS squad were named to the first or second all-conference team.
First team all-conference recipients:
Pitcher - Ashley Paradine
Catcher - Alondra Zavala
Infielder - Adrienne Cachu
Third base - Breanne Tabarez
Center fielder - Ashley Guzman
The first team recipients will move forward to All-NorCal consideration.
Second team all-conference recipients:
Outfielder - Brittney Howard
Outfielder - Madison Montemayor
"As I always say, the Giants have tremendous respect from opponents because of the standards we represent," head coach Michelle Bolt said. "No team has more [players] represented on first team and second team."
