Two COS football players commit to play at the next level
College of the Sequoias Football continues to send athletes to the next level.
All-American Defensive Back Ron LaForce who committed to a Division 1 university. LaForce committed to New Mexico State via Twitter on Dec. 12.
"After a long process and talk with my family I have decided to commit and sign with New Mexico St. University #GoAggies," Laforce said.
The sophomore from Irvington, Alabama recorded 52 tackles and 5 interceptions this season with the Giants.
COS defensive coordinator Joe D'Agostino had nothing but high praise for his former player.
"Ron is a dynamic impact player," D'Agostino said. "Off the field he is a leader and just as exemplary as a person. I expect to see him play on Sunday if he continues his development. I cannot say enough positive things about this young man."
Linebacker Greg Patton also put pen to paper, signing with West Virginia State University. He had 27 tackles this season with COS.
