BAKERSFIELD - Men's Soccer (1-2-0) could not get it done on the road, as they fell 1-0 to Bakersfield (1-1-1) on Wednesday.
The Giants could not capitalize on ten corner kicks plus 21 shots, as Renegade goalkeeper Frank Arreola saved 12.
Bakersfield forward Adonis Marroquin scored the game's lone goal in the 36'. Marroquin's far post shot beat COS goalie Luis Rubalcava.
Rubalcava had five saves in 90 minutes.
Sequoias will compete in the Cosumnes River Showcase this weekend. Saturday's opponent is TBA, but on Sunday, COS will play Shasta. Both games will kickoff at 2 p.m.
