
Men's Soccer comeback falls short

LANCASTER - Men's Soccer could not come back from an early first half deficit as Antelope Valley defeated them 2-1.
Marauders forward Jose Mojica scored a brace in a span of seven minutes. His first came in the 18' with an assist by Matthew Fletes. Mojica's second goal was unassisted in the 25'.
Jonathan Gutierez cut the Giants' deficit to one on an unassisted goal in the 60'. With the goal, Gutierez now leads the team in goals scored this season.
COS just could not get any more of their eleven shots on goal in the back of the net. Antelope Valley goalkeeper Trevor Allen was superb, saving nine shots in 90 minutes.
Sequoias goalie Luis Rubalcava played all 90 minutes registering five saves.
The Giants will host Siskiyous on Saturday at 12 p.m.
