After losing 2-1 in Lancaster, Men's soccer came back to Visalia and dismantled College of the Siskiyous 11-0 on Saturday.
"It was good for us to get back on track after Tuesday's loss," head coach Scott Rogers said. "We worked well off the ball but can still work on our overall pace of play. They actually had two good opportunities at goal but came up short."
The Giants (4-3-0) were led by Rafael Gutierrez and Christian Ibarra's hat tricks. Jonathan Gutierez also added two assists en route to the shutout.
After scoring double digit goals, COS goalkeeper Luis Rubalcava's shutout is somewhat lost in the shuffle. Rogers believes the goalkeeper's performance shows how much his defense has grown.
"A shutout, to me, is more impressive," Rogers said.
COS next game is Tuesday at Riverway Park in Visalia vs. West Hills Lemoore. This will be the Giants Central Valley Conference home opener, with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
