Men's Soccer find their stride in Showcase
VISALIA - After a two match losing streak, Men's Soccer (3-2-0) won back-to-back games this weekend in the Consumes River Showcase.
On Saturday, COS defeated Antelope Valley 3-2, with the help of two goals from Jonathan Gutierez. Christian Ibarra also scored his fourth goal of the season.
Zacl Perkins and Luis Rubalcava both played 45 minutes in the win. Rubalcava allowed both of Antelope Valley's goals.
Sequoias beat Shasta 2-1 on Sunday, after Ibarra scored his fifth goal of the season. Arnulfo Cisneros also got his first goal of the season in the close win.
Rubalcava played all 90 minutes allowing just one goal.
Sequoias will look to beat Antelope Valley again, on Tuesday Sept. 20. The Giants will travel to Lancaster with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
